Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CODE X collects, uses and protects personal data through this website. It is written to meet the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is CODE X SERVIÇOS DE INFORMÁTICA LTDA, CNPJ 38.541.384/0001-22, with registered address at Rua Joaquim Dias Centro 16, Sala 02 — Lucrécia/RN, 59805-000, Brazil. For any question about this policy or your personal data, write to contact@codexlab.net.

2. What we collect

  • Information you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company name if you provide one, and the content of your message.
  • Technical data. Our hosting and content delivery provider processes your IP address, browser type and request metadata in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Aggregate usage data. We measure page views using privacy-preserving analytics that set no cookies, store no personal identifiers and do not fingerprint visitors.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and take steps at your request before entering into a contract (LGPD Art. 7, V; GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To operate, secure and improve the website, which is our legitimate interest (LGPD Art. 7, IX; GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and accounting rules (LGPD Art. 7, II; GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Strictly necessary cookies may be set by our infrastructure provider for security purposes, such as mitigating automated attacks.

5. Who else may process your data

We rely on a small number of service providers, each processing data only as needed to deliver their service:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, content delivery, security and analytics.
  • Web3Forms — delivery of contact form submissions to our inbox.
  • Our email provider — receipt and storage of correspondence.

These providers may process data outside Brazil. Where that happens, transfers are made under the safeguards set out in LGPD Art. 33 and, for personal data covered by the GDPR, under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months from our last exchange, so we can follow up and maintain a record of the conversation. Where an engagement follows, records are kept for as long as the law requires for contractual, tax and accounting purposes. Aggregate analytics data contains no personal identifiers and is retained indefinitely.

7. Your rights

Under the LGPD (Art. 18) and the GDPR you may ask us to confirm whether we process your data, give you access to it, correct incomplete or outdated data, anonymise or delete unnecessary data, provide it in a portable format, tell you who we have shared it with, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Brazilian data protection authority (ANPD) or your local supervisory authority.

8. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the limited volume and sensitivity of the data we handle, including access control and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

This website is directed at businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
